Short answer
Choose LED when you want a seamless picture, a large or unusual size, or high brightness. Choose an LCD video wall when the wall is small (around 2–4 m²), people stand very close, and budget matters most — but accept thin black lines between the panels.
Side-by-side comparison
When LED wins
- Lobbies, showrooms and stages where the screen is the centrepiece.
- Anything bigger than about 4 m wide, or curved, or wrapped around a corner.
- Bright rooms, glass façades and anywhere sunlight reaches the screen.
- Screens that must run long hours for many years.
When LCD wins
- Small meeting rooms and control desks where people sit within 1–2 m.
- Tight budgets for a modest wall of 2 × 2 or 3 × 3 panels.
- Content full of small text, such as dashboards, where seams do not matter much.
