Short answer
Rent if you need a screen for a few events a year. Buy if your rental days add up to several weeks a year, or you run a venue, stage company or exhibition team — buying usually pays for itself within a few years. Compare the full cost: rental fees against purchase price plus storage, transport, crew and maintenance.
Rent when
- You need a screen for one-off launches, weddings or conferences.
- Each event needs a different size or shape.
- You do not have a team to transport, build and operate the screen.
- You have nowhere to store flight cases.
Buy when
- You run a venue, hotel ballroom, church or school hall with regular events.
- You are an event or stage company renting screens to your own clients.
- You exhibit at several shows a year with the same stand.
- Your rental bills each year are approaching the price of owning cabinets.
How to compare
If you buy rental cabinets, check
- Quick-lock frames and corner protectors for fast, safe builds.
- Pitch P2.6–P3.9 for most stages; outdoor-rated cabinets for open-air events.
- Flight cases, curved locks and hanging bars included.
- Spare modules from the same batch.
