Short answer
An LED screen AMC (annual maintenance contract) should include scheduled visits, cleaning, checks of power supplies, cables and controllers, brightness and colour calibration, and a guaranteed response time for faults. Outdoor screens in the UAE need at least two visits a year; indoor screens usually one or two.
What a good AMC includes
- Planned preventive visits — twice a year outdoors, once or twice indoors.
- Cleaning of the screen face and the inside of cabinets.
- Testing power supplies, receiving cards, cables and the controller.
- Replacing failed modules and pixels from matching spare stock.
- Brightness and colour calibration so repaired areas match.
- A clear response time for breakdowns, for example next working day.
- A short report after each visit.
Questions to ask before you sign
- Are spare parts included, or only labour?
- Is there an emergency call-out, and what does it cost?
- Who keeps the spare modules, and are they from the same batch?
- Does it cover the content player and software too?
- Can I add remote monitoring to catch faults early?
Simple care between visits
- Use scheduled on/off times instead of running 24/7 if you do not need to.
- Keep vents behind the screen clear.
- Dust indoor screens gently with a dry, soft brush — never water or glass cleaner.
- Report flickering, dark lines or dead tiles early — small faults are cheaper to fix.
